Workflows
GDTF DownloadUse Tools → Download GDTF to find and download fixture profiles from GDTF Share. Online catalog loading and downloads require a GDTF Share account and an Internet connection.
MVR / GDTF InspectorOpen View → Layout Views → MVR / GDTF Inspector to examine the current project's snapshot. Inspection is read-only: it does not modify the project or the inspected file, change project selection, or mark the project as edited.
Create from TextUse Tools → Create from text to turn rider-style text into a starting scene. Review the generated result before using it as show documentation.
ViewsUse 3D to check spatial relationships and orientations, and 2D to check plans, positions and readability. Show hidden viewer panes from View.
Layouts and PDFLayouts arrange scene views and supporting information on printable pages.
Reference
PreferencesOpen Edit → Preferences. Switching categories retains pending edits. Apply saves without closing, OK saves and closes, and Cancel discards changes since the last Apply.
